“Rhythm and voice, the perfect combination” Zitty Mag, Berlin

“A great mix of traditional and contemporary songs with the expert percussion skills of Tom perfectly complimenting Fil’s exquisite vocals.” Falkirk Folk Club

Fil Campbell and Tom McFarland from Co. Down, have been performing as a duo since the early 90s.   The combination of vocals, guitar and percussion, a mix of original and traditional songs with lots of choruses and the Irish gift of chat and craic, has brought them around the world many times.

Together, their latest CD,  was released during Summer 2017 and is an unusual album in that it features both vocalists in a solo role.  The collection of original songs, which has an overall theme of peace and reconciliation, reflects Tom and Fil's lives at home in Northern Ireland as well as life on the road and stories collected there.  It was recorded in their own studio in Rostrevor.

Together features a great line up of musicians - guitarist Steve Cooney augments Fil's rhythm guitar work, while Tom's percussion is supported by Colum Sands on double bass for a few songs, Ben Sands on mandolin, and John Fitzpatrick on fiddle.   Cellist Nuala Curran and whistle player Brendan Monaghan complete the line up.
