Courtmacsherry Storytelling Carnival

Well!  What a weekend we had down in West Cork at the Courtmacsherry Storytelling Carnival.  Tom and I have been visiting West Cork for many years and it's without a doubt my favourite part of the country.  The sense of humour, the scenery, the music and above all the accent are all a treat! I had the great honour of being on the bill with the wonderful Sean Ó Sé - storyteller par excellence and a fabulous singer - he was the vocalist with the Sean O'Riada orchestra, the Gael Linn Cabaret and many many other brilliant shows.

Here's a You Tube video of Sean earlier this year telling a story at the Kerry Hall in Yonkers in New York ... you'd need to have a bit of a clue about old Irish ways for this to make sense ...

The weather was very kind most of the weekend and we had a gorgeous room overlooking the bay and with a four poster bed!!!!
